Abstract:The aim of the GridQAS project is to develop a comprehensive service-oriented mechanism for GRID infrastructure that can dynamically track GRID resources state (availability, relevance, costs and so on) and on the basis of the statistical data (jobs per hour, number of nodes, queues disciplines, grid services availability, etc.), which were obtained on the system behavior, forms adequate (optimal) decisions (solutions) (which meet customers’ requirements) for solving problems or job execution in GRID environment. Simply saying, GridQAS should form a number of decisions (solutions) (optimal system configurations for job execution) that would be optimal and meet the customers’ requirements (QoS, Cost, dependability, reliability of results, etc.) on the basis of the jobs arrival and system state. All processes in GRID have stochastic nature and it’s really hard to predict system behavior and bottlenecks. So for the GRID system exploration and building adequate model of GridQAS we are going to use the mathematical apparatus of the Queueing Theory.
